Blancpain is the oldest watch brand in the world, with a proud history dating back to 1735. In the course of the past centuries since its inception, Blancpain has relentlessly pursued innovation and redefined the boundaries of watchmaking anew. At Blancpain, we proudly adhere to the principle «innovation is our tradition».
The commitment to innovation is clear: new timepieces with innovative calibers are developed every year, not uncommonly including world premieres. In just over ten years, our relentless pursuit of innovation has yielded 43 new, exclusive, and versatile calibers or in-house clockworks, encompassing challenges such as the traditional Chinese calendar, the carousel tourbillon, the carousel with minute repetition, and the flying tourbillon with jumping hour and retrograde minute.
Blancpain enjoys complete creative freedom thanks to its constant innovation and its expertise in the production process. By designing and producing most of the components and tools in-house, assembling each clockwork by a single watchmaker, and finishing each detail by hand, the Manufacture’s strength lies in its ability to create timepieces that are both innovative and faithful to the Swiss watchmaking tradition. This philosophy is expressed in every model, regardless of which collection it belongs to.
